July 1, 2002 Holland Joins Foundation Capital Foundation Capital, Menlo Park, Calif., has strengthened its team with the addition of Paul Holland as a general partner last week, market sources said. Bringing close to two decades of experience to the table, Holland was most recently at the Alabama-based Kana Communications, where he was the senior VP of worldwide sales. At Kana, Holland focused on enterprise software companies, acquiring more than 900 customers in over 10 countries with an increase in sales of more than 5,000% over a period of three years. In his position as a general partner, Holland plans to "continue applying his industry experience to the business of enterprise software technologies." He joined a team of seven general partners at Foundation Capital. Information about who will be replacing Holland at Kana was unavailable at press time. Foundation Capital is a venture capital firm committed to early stage company building. In May of last year, it announced the closing of its $595 million Foundation Capital Fund IV. Editorial Staff
