Jonathan Ehrlich, Partner

Jonathan joined Foundation Capital as a Partner in September 2013, nine months after joining the firm as an entrepreneur-in-residence (EIR). He concentrates on identifying and investing in early-stage consumer, mobile, and small business-oriented startups and technologies. 

Jonathan has deep experience building fast-growing startups. From 2009 to 2011, he ran Marketing for Facebook where he led the company's consumer and brand marketing efforts.  

Prior to his career at Facebook, he was the executive vice president, online, at Indigo Books & Music, Canada’s largest book retailer, where he was responsible for building the online business to over $100 million, over-taking Amazon as the number #1 online specialty retailer in the country.

Jonathan also co-founded Utah Street Labs Inc., backed by Foundation, Google and Relay Ventures and Mobshop Inc., backed by Marc Andreessen, Visa and GE. He also spent several years as an EIR at Albright Ventures (now Relay Ventures).

Jonathan began his career in Advertising and Consumer Packaged Goods, working for McCann: Erikson and Unilever respectively.

He holds an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business and a BA in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario. 

In his spare time, he can be found on his bike and playing with his four kids, aged 6-12.
