Foundation Capital is proud to announce the third year of its Young Entrepreneurs program. The program that connects students interested in start-ups with venture capitalists and entrepreneurs from the bay area.
What will I do?
As a Foundation Capital young entrepreneur you will be responsible to keep the partnership updated with the relevant start-up activity in your area. You’re responsibilities will include: flagging interesting trends, pitching specific ventures, providing some base-line evaluation of any suggested opportunity, and collaborating with fellow program participants. All this, with guidance and support from a board of directors comprised from leading entrepreneurs from the bay area.
What do I get?
This program is unique in its mix of exposure and access to the entrepreneurship scene of the bay area with a great opportunity to learn how to evaluate ventures from the pros, including: access to foundation capital partners and a board of leading bay area entrepreneurs, a trip to foundation capital office for two days of meetings and portfolio company visits, mentorship during the program, and a humble stipend for your efforts.
Who should apply?
We are looking for exceptional candidates that are interested in venture from either the operating or VC side. Our ideal candidates have a background in technology and/or entrepreneurship, a strong interest in the field and a strong connection to the local entrepreneurship eco-sphere.
We will be accepting applications until September 30, 2012.
