Foundation Capital began exploring Cleantech investment opportunities in 2003. Since then, we have committed $150 million to this initiative and are actively investing in a broad array of Cleantech sectors and companies. To date, we have backed entrepreneurs focused on a range of categories including energy efficiency and intelligence, green building materials and industrial processes, food quality, and clean water. We continue to actively explore investment opportunities in these areas as well as more broadly in the Cleantech sectors of alternative energy and storage, advanced materials, carbon capture, and green consumer services and marketplaces.
