When Foundation Capital invested in ShoreTel, the promise of IP telephony was huge, but still very nascent. Through the succeeding years, including the telecom meltdown in 2001 - 2004 when many venture investors for other promising IP telephony companies gave up and liquidated, Foundation Capital stood steadfastly behind us.
